The mission of TeenPerspectives.com is to present articles by Muslim teenagers, addressing some of the challenges we face, and our experiences trying to practice Islam in our environments.

The Editor of TeenPerspectives.com is Wael Hesham Abdelgawad (not a teenager anymore, to his regret). He is also the founder and editor of Zawaj.com, AskBilqis.com, and other websites. He is married and has one baby daughter.

The current writer of TeenPerspectives.com column is Somayya Gefori. She is an English/Libyan mixed race young Muslim girl from Middlesbrough, North-East England in the UK. She is the second oldest of five children. She enjoys writing, reading and is a cat lover, she has her own beloved pet cat named Lu-Lu.

The previous writer of TeenPerspectives.com (in its previous incarnation as Zawaj.com’s Teen Perspective column) was Shezena T. Mohammed.

Muslim youth with something to say are welcome to submit their writing to this website for inclusion as guest writers. Please include a short biography with your submission. Publication is not guaranteed, but all submissions will be carefully considered. Of course, everyone is welcome to comment on previous articles as well.
