MashAllah JazakAllah Khair Sister. your all articles are much realistic not in the air. Specifically about this article i would like to add a brother note in it. I found in US specially because of parents and our own unrealistic requirements made marriage process much difficult. Its seems much easier to marry non-Muslim than Muslim. Our deen is very straight and spouse selection criteria too. Its our self made hurdles which make this process so difficult. I request all sisters keep deen priority and be flexible on other issues financial, looks etc. Salam,,

I watched Sheikh Habib Ali Aljifri talk about marriage on a TV show. His perspective/teaching was the best I have ever heard in this regard. He put things in proper order. The priority in decision making when choosing a husband or wife should be to please Allah in the marriage and it is not forecasting a comfortable uneventful everlasting life with the person you are choosing. After all happiness is from Allah. May Allah protect and bless all.

Assalamu’alaykum.. I agreed with what you wrote! But what if the reason behind the ‘wall’ our parents built is because they wanted to choose the best spouse for their daughter-to make sure that she will live a better life with the husband-i mean financially n emotionally(maybe) stable?

i have been through something similar in the past its also very hard for a guy to find the right spouse.
